I received the European PhD and M.S. degree in Computer Science from the University of Málaga in 2006 and 2002 respectively.You can reach my PhD. Thesis here.

From December 2009, I am an assistant, full time professor at the System Engineering and Automation Department at the University of Málaga, researching at the Machine Perception and Intelligent Robotics (MAPIR) group.

My interest's areas cover robot world modeling, robot task planning, human-robot interaction, and control architectures. Currently I work on domestic robotics, telepresence for the elderly and Quality of Life Technologies (QoLT) under a variety of European/National projects.

During the periods Sept, 2004-Feb, 2005, Aug 2008, and Aug-Sept 2011, I was at the Applied Autonomous Sensor Systems, Örebro University (Sweden), collaborating with the team of Prof. A. Saffiotti in Anchoring and Semantic Maps.
